Paper Tape Premium 50mm x 50m
Colour: blue
The premium paper tape is designed for outstanding performance in a wide range of packaging, splicing and labelling applications. It offers fast bonding under various temperature and humidity conditions up to 200°C. The kraft paper tape has a royal blue saturated high performance paper backing, a non-printable release liner and a pressure sensitive synthetic rubber/resin adhesive. The royal blue colour allows for easy identification of splices, even at high speeds. It provides excellent adhesion to floor coverings and heavy kraft paper surfaces. A very secure bond under constant web tension, e.g. for belt splices. It also works well on polythene (PE) coated liquid board. This tape is a dirt-repellent adhesive for the automotive industry and is also used for holding, light to medium-duty blasting work and as a test tape for colour adhesion (cross-hatching). Please note that this product is not repulpable. NOTES: As with all adhesive tape products, it is always the user's responsibility to determine if the product is suitable for the intended use; for example, if you wish to remove a product cleanly from a particular type of substrate, please test it on an inconspicuous area first. Processing and storage instructions
Surface condition
Surfaces must be dry, free from dust, oil, oxides, release agents and other contaminants.
Surface cleaning
The following cleaning agents, for example, can be used to remove dust, oil, release agents and other impurities:
Isopropanol/water 50/50
Heptane or ethanol
Acetone or MEK
Suitable other cleaning agents that do not leave any residues and do not attack the substrate.
Temperature
The most favourable processing temperature (object and ambient temperature) is between +15°C and +25°C.
Pressure
The strength of the bond is directly dependent on the contact that the adhesive has with the surfaces to be bonded. A short, high pressure (e.g. with a squeegee, pressure roller or pressure device, etc.) ensures good surface contact. The type and amount of pressure depends on the material (thin- or thick-walled, etc.) and the geometry of the components. Rule of thumb: approx. 20 N/cm².
Storage
The rolls should be stored in their packaging protected from light at a temperature between +15°C and +25°C and a relative humidity of 50%.
